Two children were hit by a car while waiting for the school bus near Friendsville Jan. 5, according to a Blount County Sheriff’s Office report.
Officials said it happened on Miser Station, near Denson Road at approximately 7:40 a.m. One of the children was taken to the hospital by the child’s parents, while the other was checked out at the scene.
The Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident, and no further details were given.
