Suspect sought in Exxon robbery on Strawberry Plains Pike

Knoxville police are looking for a suspect in the robbery of an Exxon gas station at 7405 Strawberry Plains Pike Jan. 8.

According to Sgt. Stanley F. Cash of KPD’s East District Patrol-B Squad, officers responded to the robbery at approximately 7:49 a.m. The cashier told officers that the suspect came into the store around 10 to 15 times before the robbery took place.

After observing the store, the suspect told the cashier he had a knife and demanded all the cash from the register. The cashier obliged and the suspect ran from the store with an undetermined amount of money.

The suspect was described as a white male in his mid-20s, 5’2” to 5’5” with a small build, and was wearing a blue jacket, blue sweat pants, and blue toboggan.
