Will E Mails have Trustee Duncan Singing Swan Song?

Will e mails that show that Trustee John Duncan sent messages to employee Zach Brezina directing him to take tests for co-workers have the son of Congressman Jimmy Duncan singing a swan song?

According to a Knox County Commissioner, who met with a group for breakfast this week,  officials in the Attorney General’s Office and the TBI have found evidence of e mails written and sent by Duncan directing Brezina to take the tests and the passwords for the employees were included in the messages.

Defense attorney Gregory P. Isaacs has confirmed that Zach Brezina, an analyst with the Trustee’s Office since September 2010, has retained him.

Brezina, who earned $37,100 annually, has since resigned from the position.

Attorney Isaacs said on a prior date that:  ”Our firm’s investigation has revealed that Zachary Brezina’s conduct at the Knox County Trustee’s Office did not violate any state or federal laws. Significantly, all of his activities were done at the specific direction of his supervisors.”

Sources say that elected officials are hoping Duncan will resign in time for others to be placed on the ballot for the upcoming November’s General Election.
